Alan E. Oshinsky, MD, PA

Dr. Oshinsky is a Board Certified member of the American Board of Otolaryngology, and a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology. In practice as an ear, nose, and throat doctor for 34 years, Dr. Oshinsky specializes in otolaryngology and surgery with a special interest in the diagnosis and treatment of snoring, obstructive sleep apnea, and tinnitus. His other areas of interest include the treatment of nasal and sinus problems, and pediatric ear, nose, and throat problems.

Dr. Oshinsky is Chief of the Division of Otolaryngology at Mercy Medical Center, and is on staff at Northwest Hospital Center and St. Joseph Hospital in Baltimore. He did his Otolaryngology, head and neck surgery residency training at the University of Maryland Hospital, Baltimore, MD, from 1981 to 1986, and was Chief Resident from 1985 to 1986. Dr. Oshinsky graduated from the Central University of the Caribbean, San Juan Puerto Rico in 1981. He speaks English and fluent Spanish.

Dr. Ileana I. Showalter, MD

Dr. Showalter is a clinician in the diagnosis and treatment of ear, nose, and throat diseases with a specialty in treating head and neck cancers. Dr. Showalter completed an Internship in general surgery as well as a Fellowship in the treatment of deafness and other communication disorders at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, MD.

Dr. Showalter graduated from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in 1995, and completed her residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery in 2002. She completed her Fellowship in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology at the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI.

Dr. Showalter has over 11 years of experience in private practice, specializing in the evaluation and treatment of head and neck conditions including cancers and tumors of the tongue, throat, neck, roof of the mouth, and wind pipe. She offers convenient testing in her office, and performs operating room biopsies to diagnose conditions, providing quicker results.

She performs cancer surgeries, and works with the Departments of Radiation Oncology and Medical Oncology at Mercy Medical Center.

Rachel A. Raphael

Rachel A. Raphael, M.A., CCC-A has worked with Dr. Oshinsky since 1988. Rachel specializes in clinical audiology and hearing aid dispensing. Rachel helps in the diagnosis of hearing loss, tinnitus, dizziness & vestibular pathology. Through accurate and thorough testing on children and adults, she and her team can recommend the best treatment options including surgical, medical, and hearing aid evaluation and fitting.
